What are the consequences of carrying a knife?

i live in michigan andi throw knives. i was wondering what would be the consequences of getting caught with throwing knives? my knives are longer than the legal limit of 3 inches. and does this fit the sportsman exception? i throw knives for the fun of the sport not with the intentions of harming anyone.
